SumpWatch Support
Need help? Email support@ginotechusa.com and include your SumpWatch serial number (it starts with SW-, and is in the app under Settings and on the label on the box). We reply within 1 business day.
If water is rising in your basement right now, don’t wait for us. Check your sump pump, use a backup pump if you have one, and call a plumber or emergency services if needed. SumpWatch is a monitoring system and cannot stop water.
Common questions
How do I set up SumpWatch? Install the SumpWatch app, create an account, and follow the steps. You’ll scan the QR code on the box, connect the box to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi over Bluetooth, and name it. Setup takes about 10 minutes.
How do I know alerts will reach my phone? In the app, open Settings and tap Send a test alert. Every phone on that SumpWatch should get it within a few seconds. Test again after changing phones or phone settings.
I’m not getting alerts. On your iPhone, open Settings → Notifications → SumpWatch and turn on Allow Notifications. Make sure you are signed in to the app, then open it once so it can register your phone. Check that the SumpWatch box shows Online in the app.
The app says my SumpWatch is offline. Check that the box has power and that your Wi-Fi and internet are working. SumpWatch also sends you a notification when the box goes offline and when it comes back. To move it to a new Wi-Fi network, hold the button on the box for 5 seconds and run Add a device in the app.
How do I share alerts with my family? In the app, open Settings → Shared with → Invite someone, and send them the code. They install the app, create their own account, and enter the code. Codes work once and last 7 days.
What does "I’m on it" do? When water reaches the Critical level, SumpWatch keeps reminding everyone every few minutes. Tapping I’m on it tells everyone that someone is handling it and stops the reminders. New alerts still come through.
How do I delete my account? In the app, open Settings → Delete account. This removes your devices from your account and erases their history and photos. To ask for a copy of your data, email us.
